Very excited, I've ended up in San Francisco with work! I was last here in the year 2000, but this time I decided to bring my running shoes with me. The only challenge is timing. Each day we will be leaving the hotel at around 7am, so if I want to run I'm going to have to be up early...(though with my jetlag I'm not sure that will be too hard!)
Staying in a beautiful hotel (the Clift) near Union Square, so I plotted a route that would take me to the water. I wanted to run to the Golden Gate Bridge, but it looked too far so instead I worked out a route along the Embarcadero, past Fishermans Wharf for a view of Alcatraz and then onto Fort Mason for a view of the Golden Gate Bridge, before returning up and over the enormous Russian Hill.
My San Francisco running route came to around 9km. NikePlus recorded my San Francisco running like this:

I took a camera with me and stopped to record various San Francisco sights as I went along:

Part one - through the downtown office district |

View of the Bay Bridge from the Embarcadero |

San Francisco Ferry Building |

San Francisco - Transamerica Pyramid (seen from Embarcadero) |

Perfect temperature and great fun. I particularly enjoyed running along the Embarcadero as there were so many other runners on the beautiful, flat, wide path alongside the water enjoying the amazing views. Hill back was a bit extreme but what a great way to start a day!
