Review: Sony headphones - perfect for running!

I thought I should feature my headphones on this week's 'Tuesday reviewsday' running post.  I have tried a number of different types of headphone for running and have found these Sony MDR-EX50 headphones to be by far the best for me.

I have tried more expensive headphones but they fall out of my ears. I have tried over ear headphones but find them uncomfortable. I have even found headphones with a control on the lead problematic as they seem to get weighed down and fall out too.

The Sony headphones below, the Sony MDR EX50 headphones, however, have no 'extras', they are just lightweight, sit well in your ear and have a perfect length lead.  They also have a nice bass sound too.  The perfect running headphones - and cheaper than most of the headphone options out there!

NB the photo above shows chrome Sony headphones.  These Sony MDR-EX50 headphones are available in white, black or chrome and are currently selling at a greatly reduced price at currys.co.uk - stock up while they have them!

Do you use headphones when you run and, if you do, what headphones do you use?

  3. Generally speaking, the main purpose of running with others is to actually....talk to others. As such, during my 16 mile run this weekend I ditched the headphones to run with a running buddy, Ryan.Digital headphones
