St Albans Half Marathon - 9th June 2013

I was excited to learn of the St Albans Half Marathon as it's a city I ran in a lot when I was younger - particularly in and around Verulamium Park (with nice lake and bits of old Roman wall included!)  Other route highlights for the St Albans Half Marathon include Batchwood golf club and nightclub (scene of many misplaced drives and many more misplaced drinks...) and a start and finish under the gaze of St Albans cathedral.  [official website for the st albans half marathon 2013 is here]

The weather looks great and for the first time all 3500 places for the half marathon have sold out (the 5km run is apparently also full.)  I was signed up but unfortunately I am now not able to take part.  I have given up my place, so hope someone else now gets the chance to run.

The St Albans Half Marathon 2013 starts at 10am, so I might try and get some pictures if I can get up and get there in time - if not I shall follow it on Twitter and definitely run it next year. Comments welcome here too!
